45 Years of Inspiring an Equal Future: CEDAW Women's Human Rights Awards
The FRIENDS of the Commission on the Status of Women is celebrating its 45 anniversary. We are honoring exceptional women and allies who are helping the San Francisco Bay Area community to further efforts in creating gender equity and empowering women and girls.
The CEDAW Women's Human Rights Awards honor leaders and organizations who use their public roles to advance the rights of women and girls. Awards are given for leadership demonstrated in diverse sectors of the community including education, entrepreneurship, government, health, labor, media and philanthropy.
Attended by a growing number of over 400 supporters, this event is the annual signature celebration and fundraising gala for the FRIENDS of the Commission on the Status of Women. Proceeds benefit the Public Policy Fellowship Program and the Equal Pay Initiative - aimed at closing the gender wage gap by offering FREE salary negotiation workshops designed for women.
We will live stream this year's virtual celebration for the first time and the evening's festivities will include a live auction, games and prizes.
